Welcome to FragCut. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered video clipping service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Username and display name
- Profile picture (optional)
- Google account basic profile (if you sign in with Google)
2.2 Video Content
We process your streaming content to generate clips. This includes:
- Videos you upload, or videos you import by pasting a Twitch, YouTube or Kick link
- Metadata (timestamps, game titles, viewer counts)
- Automatically detected highlights and trimmed clips
2.3 Usage Data
We automatically collect:
- Device information (browser type, OS, IP address)
- Service usage patterns and preferences
- Page views and product events used to improve the service
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve our AI video clipping service
- Process and store your generated clips
- Send service updates and important notifications
- Analyze how the service is used so we can improve it
- Prevent fraud and ensure platform security
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Data Storage & Retention
Your Content Ownership
You retain full ownership of all your original content and generated clips. We only store data necessary to provide our service.
- Source videos: Deleted automatically about 30 days after processing finishes. Failed uploads are deleted after 7 days, and uploads that never finish are deleted after 2 days.
- Generated clips and exports: Deleted automatically 90 days after creation, or earlier if you delete the video they came from
- Montages: Kept until you delete them
- Processing files: Candidate highlight cuts are deleted within a day. Compressed copies and analysis segments are deleted together with the source video.
- Deleted videos: Deleting a video removes it and its clips right away; any leftover files are cleared by our weekly cleanup
- Account data: Retained while your account is active
5. Data Sharing
We may share your data with:
- Cloudflare R2: Stores your uploaded videos, clips and exports
- Neon: Hosts our PostgreSQL database for account and order data
- Modal: Runs video downloading, compression and clip rendering
- Google Gemini: Analyzes your video to find highlights. We delete the file from Google's servers once analysis finishes
- fal.ai: Burns subtitles into a clip when you turn subtitles on
- Payment processors: Stripe, Paddle and Fungies process payments; we never see your full card number
- Resend: Sends account and service emails
- Google Tag Manager: Loads our analytics tools
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
We never sell your personal data to third parties.
6. Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to:

7. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Optional analytics cookies help us improve the service (you can opt out anytime).
8. Security
All traffic uses HTTPS, and Cloudflare encrypts stored files at rest. Clips are served from long, random, unlisted links that we don't publish, but anyone who has a clip's exact link can open it, so only share links you are comfortable sharing. No online service is 100% secure. Please report any security concerns immediately to support@fragcut.io.
9. Children's Privacy
FragCut is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
10. International Users
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in compliance with GDPR and other regulations.
11. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or through the service. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
